Welcome to worship at First Congregational Church of Wareham, UCC, a welcoming, friendly, non-judgmental community supported by a unique blend of traditional worship and progressive theology. Whether you are a seeker or nonbeliever, are new to this whole church thing, or have clear and firm beliefs—all are welcome in this place. We respect all racial, ethnic, and gender identities, life experiences, and spiritual or political beliefs. We welcome you and look forward to helping you connect to our church community.

Accompaniment Cohort FCC Wareham is one of 15 congregations selected to participate in a three-year Peer Learning Cohort to build and strengthen our congregation’s capacity to engage in relationships with one another and our community. The peer learning hospitality ministries include Accompaniment, Trauma Care, and LGBTQ+ Discernment. The FCC Wareham team will receive training and consultation in Accompaniment.

Arts at the Stone Church, named for our church’s well-known stone exterior, is a recently introduced periodic series celebrating the vast talent of our Southcoast. Anchored by a periodic coffee house with a free meal followed by a performance, each offering brings opportunities to meet new neighbors and friends and explore the many forms of creativity our community offers. We partner with musicians, actors, poets, dancers, performers, scriptwriters, photographers, painters, printmakers, magicians, puppeteers, and other local creatives . Together we introduce a wide range of art, such as a recital of classical and religious music, a jazz session, or our annual art exhibit honoring Pride Month. All bring a positive and healing energy to the Southcoast.

This is a time to meet with old friends and greet new ones–operates throughout the year, and offers breakfast every Wednesday morning from 7:00 to 8:30 AM., for great food, warm conversations and fellowship.
